Personality:

Pietro's life was changed as a child when a bomb destroyed his home and killed his parents. Him and his younger sister were trapped in the rubble for days with a non-detonated bomb a few feet away. He grew up hating and knowing what true loss felt like. Due to this, he became cocky, arrogant, and quick-tempered. He's impatient and acts, quite often, without thinking his actions through. When he was experimented on and given super-speed, these attributes increased and grew.

He has a deep love and affection for his twin sister Wanda, whom he would do anything for. Though he is older, it's obvious that he defers to her for opinions and decision making. He took care of her as children and still does, making him loyal and extremely protective. He would kill for her and is extremely vengeful when she gets hurt. They're so close that living without her isn't an option. He would survive, but be a shell of the man he is now.

While he can be dedicated to a cause and focus intently on it, he does and has changed his mind when shown a better way. His actions might seem rash and irresponsible, but Pietro doesn't want to hurt or be responsible for hurting innocent people. He will put aside his own personal grudges for the good of all the innconcent people. Pietro even stands up to Ultron, who is very powerful, because he knows it's the right thing to do.

Initially taking a side against the Avengers, Pietro's relationship with Clint starts out as a rocky one. They fight and argue, taunting one another, but after becoming teammates, he shows that he can change his attitude when he gets closer to someone. When Clint and a child is in danger, he makes the choice to step in front of the bullets and save them. He knows that he won't survive and chooses to do it anyway. He gives up his life to protect innocent people and would do it again, even if he regrets how much doing so would inevitably hurt his sister.

He's cocky and irresponsible, but ultimately kind and willing to take the path that ends in his own pain for the sake of saving others.

Abilities and Nerfs:

Superhuman Speed: Quicksilver gained the ability to run at extremely high speeds due to HYDRA's experiments with the Scepter. He was able to think, act, move and perceive in seconds or less, far faster than normal people could even perceive. As such, he could perceive the world as moving in slow motion, especially when he is moving at super speed, while all others could see of him as he used his speed was a vibrating blur of motion. His power caused him to generate an aura of blue, white and transparent energy currents and mist-like shapes, much like fire or wind, leaving behind a trail of it as he runs.

Extreme Force Generation: He has enhanced momentum, which allows him to enhance the force in his attacks, strikes, impacts and collisions, often propelling objects or people several feet, that he used to compensate for his average human strength.

Increased Metabolism: Quicksilver has a hyper-accelerated metabolic rate, enhancing his physicality and ability to move and act while also making him less able to be stunned by attacks or injuries, as he quickly recovered from the pain of being shot in the arm and could still act as if he were not injured.

Improved Thermal Homeostasis: Quicksilver can function in a stable internal environment that requires constant monitoring and adjustments to his condition that changes constantly, meaning he can resist the effects of friction and temperature, while moving at incredible speeds.

Superhuman Reflexes: Quicksilver's increased speed also augmented his reaction time, allowing him to react to danger and events much faster than a normal human, to the point where he could catch bullets in mid-air. As a result, Quicksilver tended to see the world around him as if it were in slow motion, especially when he is moving at super speed. However even with his enhanced reflexes, Quicksilver can still be caught by surprise, such as his fight against Hawkeye during the confrontation between Iron Man and Captain America at Avengers Tower.

Bilingualism: Pietro speaks his native Sokovian, as well as fluent and accented English.

For someone that was always running, he was exhausted with how hard it was to relax. Slowing down was not so simple as stopping. He had to concentrate. Focus. Pietro had to give all of his mind to the process and then it defeated the purpose of taking a break.

This place was, in a way, that vacation that he couldn't give himself.

There were beaches and VR rooms. Restaurants and people willing to cloth him for little to nothing. He was king here. In space. On a metal ship that was in a galaxy so far removed from his own he knew he'd never return. Not that he could. He wasn't alive there. He didn't regret what he'd done but he would always regret leaving his sister to face the world alone.

But it was none of those material luxuries which held his attention. It was the sweet smile on his sister's face after he'd wiped away her tears. The longing fulfilled. Their bond repaired. He had missed her and had only known a break in their connection for seconds. He would do what his contract says. He would fuck his way through the residents and enjoy himself, but he would savor the stolen moments he gets with his twin.

He'll relax simply by having her with him.
